Description(s): SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS/REQUEST FOR INFORMATION FOR UPGRADE OF SECURITY CAMERAS, CONTROLLER, AND RECORDING SYSTEM AT EDWARDS AFB THIS IS A MARKET SURVEY FOR INFORMATION ONLY. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS SYNOPISIS. NO REIMBURSEMENT WILL BE MADE FOR ANY COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH PROVIDING INFORMATION IN RESPONSE TO THIS SYNOPSIS OR ANY FOLLOW-UP INFORMATION REQUESTS. THE PURPOSE OF THIS SYNOPSIS IS TO GAIN KNOWLEDGE OF POTENTIALLY QUALIFIED SOURCES AND THEIR SIZE CLASSIFICATIONS (SMALL BUSINESS, LARGE BUSINESS, ETC.). PLEASE DO NOT REQUEST A COPY OF A SOLICITATION, AS ONE DOES NOT EXIST. 1. Purpose. The U.S. Air Force is conducting market research to identify potential suppliers for this requirement. Please respond with your capabilities and an estimated cost quote for market research purposes only. 2. Requirement. The 411th flight test squadron is looking to upgrade our security cameras, controller and recording system. Contractors will be required to come on site, evaluate and modify the current system. Currently, the system has 13ea, 270-degree corner cameras mounted on the exterior of buildings, a controller and a recorder. We are looking for a quote, for market research, to upgrade the cameras, replace the controller, and recorder. This system is located on Edwards Air Force Base in California. System shall be a standalone system, not connected to external networks or internet Shall not have WiFi or Bluetooth capability Replace 13 cameras Cameras shall be 270 degree cameras, mounted on corners of buildings Existing mounts may be used Existing communication and power wiring may be used, if compatible Shall be HD, at least 1080p with capability to zoom in to identify a person at 200+ feet Shall be weather proof, mounted on the outside of buildings Replace controller Replace recorder Shall record 90 days Line option for 180 days Shall have ability to export video on to external media Shall be computer rack mounted Shall have a battery backup Shall be expandable to 20+ cameras 3. Information requested. Interested parties capable of fulfilling this requirement should provide the following information: a. Company name, DUNs number and Cage Code, address, points of contact, phone numbers and e-mail addresses. b. Market research quote with estimated costs. c. Information should include a brief description of experience in providing the type of support described above. The information package must be clear, concise, and complete. The Air Force is under no obligation to provide feedback to the company, or to contact the company for clarification of any information submitted in response to this request. d. Identification of business size (small or large) and identification of the socioeconomic disadvantaged category, as defined in Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR Part 19 and currently listed in the System for Award Management (SAM). Small business size standards are published by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and may be found at www.sba.gov/size/sizetable2002.html. The potential North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) codes assigned to this procurement is 334220 (Radio and Television Broadcasting and Wireless Communications Equipment Manufacturing). The Small Business Size Standard is 1,250 employees. e. Any other information deemed useful to the Air Force. Information packages should be limited to no more than 1 pages. 4. Inquiries.
