Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, NCO 15 Contracting Office intends to release a commercial solicitation, to provide ANNUAL TRANSFORMER TESTING & INSPECTION for the Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center. The contractor shall provide all labor, personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items necessary to perform the ANNUAL TRANSFORMER TESTING & INSPECTION at the Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center at 5500 E. Kellogg Ave. Wichita, Ks 67218. The ANNUAL TRANSFORMER TESTING & INSPECTION will conduct a thorough visual inspection for signs of physical damage, leaks, and corrosion, visually inspect the transformer grounding, obtain oil samples for chromatographic analysis to assess the oil condition and identify problems, document inspection findings, including test results of the chromatographic analysis, and Contractor will provide one digital copy of the inspection and findings, and one paper copy 3-ringed bound per the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) safety standards and industry practices. The government intends to award a single award Firm Fixed Price (FFP) base plus four (4) option year(s) contract will be issued by the NCO 15 Contracting Office. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 335311 (Power, Distribution, and Specialty Transformer Manufacturing), with a size standard of 800 employees. The details including full specifications will be included in the solicitation, which will be released on or about January 7, 2026, the close date will be on or about January 13, 2026.
