Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Savannah District, will be conducting a Virtual Industry Day for both requirements FXD Lab which is a Forensic Laboratory and a DOD Law Enforcement Evidence and Data Repository (LEEDR) General Purpose Warehouse that are for the Military Criminal Investigative Organization Enterprise, with direct support to the Defense Forensic Science Center located within the Fort Gillem Enclave. The address for these requirements is 4930 N 31st Street, Forest Park, GA 30297. The Forensic Laboratory details are described below. Primary facilities include administration areas, laboratory space, facility support area, Covered hardstand (mobile Laboratory area), organizational vehicle parking, Intrusion Detection System (IDS)installation, mass notification system, and Utility Monitoring and Control System (UMCS) connections. Supporting facilities will include site development, utilities, limited back-up power source, and connections, lighting, paving, parking, walks, curbs and gutters, storm drainage, information systems, landscaping and signage. Heating and air conditioning will be provided by a self-contained system. Building information systems for this project are unique in nature and not included in the unit cost of the building. Measures in accordance with the Department of Defense (DoD) Minimum Antiterrorism for Buildings standards will be provided, plus enhanced AT/FP measures. Comprehensive building and furnishings related interior design services are required. Access for individuals with disabilities will be provided. Cyber Security Measures will be incorporated into this project. Sustainability/Energy measures will be provided. Facilities will be designed to a minimum life of 40 years in accordance with DoD's Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC 1-200-02) including energy efficiencies, building envelope and integrated building systems performance. Air Conditioning (Estimated 236 Tons). USACE would also like to invite you to complete the below survey for the DoD LEEDR General Purpose Warehouse construction project. This is a multi-service facility purpose-built to address mission specific needs common to the criminal investigative agencies within the Departments of Army and is a future requirement for the installation. While the presentation will not provide in depth details on this requirement, the government is still soliciting information from industry to assist in acquisition planning.
