NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN 5), Baltimore VA Medical Center located at 10 North Greene Street, Baltimore, MD, 21201 is issuing this Notice of Intent (NOI) to inform industry contractors of the Government s intent to execute a Sole Source award IAW RFO FAR 12.102(a) and RFO FAR 6.103-1 - Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements per 41 USC §3304(a)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. This requirement is for Geneforce Uninterrupted Power Supply Indoor Generators, Product No. GEN-1020, GEN-1620 and GEN-2020 for CBOC s locations in Baltimore VA Maryland Health Care System Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC)/facilities for pharmaceutical grade medication/vaccine refrigerators and freezers in the event of a power outage to prevent the loss of medications and vaccines. Geneforce Emergency Power System is a Sole Source product that is manufacturer, sold, and distributed exclusively by Geneforce Incorporated. This product must be purchases directly from Geneforce Incorporated. There are no agents or dealers who are authorized to represent these products. The place of performance is Baltimore CBOC s VAMC, 10 North Greene Street, Baltimore, MD 21201. This action will result in a Firm-Fixed Price Contract. The intended Contractor is Geneforce Incorporated., located at 2331 NW 7th PL, Miami, FL 33127, USA. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is, 335999, All Other Miscellaneous Electrical and Component Manufacturing - Product of Service Code for this requirement is 6130, Converters, Electrical, Nonrotating. The Small Business Administration (SBA) size standard for this sector is 600. This notice of intent is neither a formal solicitation nor a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation document is available, and telephone requests will not be honored. No award will be made based on unsolicited quotations or offers received in response to this notice. Any response to this notice must show clear, compelling, and convincing evidence that competition will be advantageous to the Government. The intent of this synopsis is for informational purposes only. The information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to complete this action based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government anticipates the award of a firm-fixed- price contract. A decision by the Government about whether to compete with this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competition.
