Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Memphis District is seeking information from companies capable of building and delivering a new mooring barge to support the Memphis District?s Regional Channel Improvement Program. Upon completion the barge will be permanently stationed in the Vicksburg District. This is a Sources Sought Notice for market research for information purposes only. This Source Sought does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP), Commercial Solution Opening (CSO) or Invitation for Bid (IFB) or a promise to issue a future RFP, CSO or IFB. This Sources Sought does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service. Further, the Government is not currently seeking offers or proposals and will not accept unsolicited offers or proposals. Responders are advised that the Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this Sources Sought. All costs associated with responding to this Sources Sought will be solely at the interested party?s expense. Not responding to this source sought does not preclude participation in any future and potential solicitation. This source sought is being conducted to determine the interest of industry within NAICS code #336611 and establish that there are adequate contractors for building a new mooring barge. The mooring barge will support the Channel Improvement fleet to include Armor One (Government Owned) and other revetment vessels. The Government WILL NOT pay for the provision of any information, nor will it compensate any respondents for the development of any such information. If a formal solicitation is released, it will be via the System of Award Management (http:www.sam.gov).
