Description

CASS Vendor Engagement Session Announcement: 18 December 2025, 1400-1500 Eastern Time (ET). I. SUMMARY NOAAs National Weather Service (NWS) operates two U.S. Tsunami Warning Centers (TWC), National TWC (NTWC) in Palmer, AK and the Pacific TWC (PTWC) in Honolulu, HI. The TWCs require a Common Analytic and Support System (CASS) to provide comprehensive and consistent forecast and alerting guidance in support of joint TWC Operations. CASS must incorporate originally-developed code from the first version of this requirement, the Common Analytic System (CAS), the tsunami modeling component of the CASS platform. NOAA's Western Acquisition Division will host a virtual vendor engagement session to provide interested parties with an overview of the CASS requirement for the NWS TWCs. This virtual session is being held to promote an early exchange of information and provide an opportunity for both the Government and Industry to gather more information prior to the release of a formal solicitation. At this session, the Government will provide an overview of the CASS requirement and address pre-submitted questions and comments regarding the technical requirement and acquisition strategies. There will also be time allotted for a live Q&A session. The session will only be open to vendors who pre-register for the event. Vendors who are not able to attend the event may still obtain a copy of the presentation material. Any briefing slides will be sent out to all who register. II. DATE, LOCATION, AGENDA, REGISTRATION, LOGISTICS WHEN: 18 December 2025 WHERE: The session will be held via video teleconference (Google Meet). Details will be provided to registered participants. TENTATIVE SCHEDULE: 1330 - 1400 ET: Google Meet log in 1400 - 1500 ET: Requirement Brief, Acquisition Brief, General Q&A Session This announcement will be updated with specific schedule information if needed HOW TO REGISTER: In order to register for this event, interested parties must complete the CASS Vendor Engagement Questionnaire. Link is found below in this notice. III. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION This announcement is not a contract, request for proposal, a promise to contract, or a commitment of any kind. The Government will not assume liability for costs incurred by any attendee for presentations, marketing efforts, or data offered for examination. Please direct all inquiries to both Hannah Hartman and Meredith Johnson and include "CASS Vendor Engagement Session" in the subject of your email.
