MAINTENANCE DREDGING, HUDSON RIVER FEDERAL NAVIGATION PROJECT, REACH N04, TROY, NY

Description

The New York District (NAN) of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) proposes to perform maintenance dredging of the Hudson River Federal Navigation Project. DECRIPTION: The dredged material will be transported and placed into a New York State Dept. of Environmental Conservation (DEC) approved contractor provided upland dredge material placement site. The proposed maintenance dredging will remove approximately 10,000 cubic yards of critical shoals from the Troy Lock & Dock dredging area. Dredging will be required to a depth of -14 feet COE Datum River Datum (measured from normal pool of 13.59� above NAV88) plus 1-foot allowable over depth. The dredged material is expected to consist primarily of sand and silt. The Contractor will also be required to provide a suitable upland placement site for dredged material disposal. This placement site will be identified upon contract award and will be approved by New York State Dept. of Environmental Conservation prior to the start of in-water work. LOCATION: The project area is in Troy, New York. The magnitude is estimated to cost between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. This is an unrestricted Procurement.
