Description

NSN 7HH 4820 015327968 L1 Cascade Orificial Resistive Device Qty 2 This is a Level I requirement. The material covered in this contract/purchase order will be used in a crucial shipboard system. The use of incorrect or defective material wouldcreate a high probability of failure resultingin serious personnel injury, loss of life, lossof vital shipboard systems, or loss of the ship itself. Therefore, the material has beendesignated as SPECIAL EMPHASIS material(Level I, Scope of Certification, or QualityAssured) and special control procedures areinvoked to ensure receipt of correct material. All responsible sources may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals, quotations or capability statements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. The AMC is 1G. The Government has rights to the technical data, the data package is complete, and there are no technical data, engineering, tooling or manufacturing restrictions. (This is the only AMSC that implies that parts are candidates for full and open competition. Other AMSCs such as K, M, N, Q, and S may imply limited competition when two or more independent sources exist yet the technical data package is inadequate for full and open competition.) AMCs 1 or 2 are valid. Technical data will be provided in the follow on solicitation. Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. One or more of the items under this acquisition is subject to: Free Trade Agreements, if DFARS clause 252.225-7036 Buy American Act--Free Trade Agreements--Balance of Payments Program, is included in the solicitation. The World Trade Organization Government Procurement Agreement and Free Trade Agreements, if DFARS clause 252.225-7021 Trade Agreements, is included in the solicitation. This requirement requires the mandatory use of additive manufacturing for specific piece part components as outlined within the technical data package for this end item.
