Description

The United States Air Force, 28th Contracting Squadron is conducting a presolicitation notice to identify potential and qualified sources capable of performing the work described below. This is NOT a solicitation; this Sysnopsis is for informational and planning purposes only and does not constitute a commitment, implied or otherwise, that a solicitation will be issued. The Government will not pay for any information received in response to this announcement, nor is the Government responsible for any costs incurred by responding. Description of Requirement: The purpose of this requirement is to design, configure, test, document, and implement a new Closed Restricted Network (CRN) to support base-wide Electronic Security System (ESS) operations at Ellsworth AFB, SD. This project involves transitioning ESS operations from the existing NIPRNET-based transport to a dedicated Ethernet-based CRN, while maintaining concurrent operation of the current ESS services during the implementation phase. The project includes integrating 54+ existing legacy buildings and 9 new facilities currently under construction, with the understanding that construction Beneficial Occupancy Dates (BODs) may shift. The desired completion date is 7 months from the contract award. This includes design and install. Site Visit Information: FAR 52.237-1 Site Visit Offerors or quoters are urged and expected to inspect the site where services are to be performed and to satisfy themselves regarding all general and local conditions that may affect the cost of contract performance, to the extent that the information is reasonably obtainable. In no event shall failure to inspect the site constitute grounds for a claim after contract award. (End of provision) A site visit is expected to occur bewtween 11-22 May, the date and time will be confirmed in the solicitation. Vendors are required to have a state issued Real ID or a state issued ID with supporting documentation such as valid U.S. Passport or Passport Card, Social Security Card, Original or Certified copy of U.S. Birth Certificate in order to gain access to Ellsworth AFB.
