PRESOLICITATION NOTICE 658-24-102 Replace Building 2 Air Handler Units Salem VA Medical Center (Salem, Virginia) The Department of Veterans Affairs, Salem VA Medical Center in Salem, Virginia, has a requirement for a contractor to provide construction services to complete Project 658-24-102 Replace Building 2 Air Handler Units in accordance with the solicitation and any resulting contract. DESCRIPTION: Project 658-24-102, Replace Building 2 Air Handlers: Contractor shall completely prepare site for building operations, including demolition and removal of existing structures, and furnish labor and materials and perform work for Project 658-24-102 Replace Building 2 Air Handlers as required by drawings and specifications. Work includes general construction, alterations, selective demolition, and certain other items as indicated in the Contract Documents. Electrical Work; Work includes all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision to perform the required electrical construction work on this project, including lighting, receptacles, data/voice/video systems, fire alarm systems, and associated infrastructure. Mechanical Work: Work includes all labor, material, equipment, and supervision to perform the required Mechanical construction work on this project, including ductwork, plumbing lines, sprinkler modifications, and associated infrastructure. The performance period for this project is 480 calendar days from issuance of NTP. The time to definitize change orders after receipt of an adequate change order proposal is up to 61 to 90 calendar days. MAGNITUDE OF CONSTRUCTION: $5,000,000.00 to $10,000,000.00 The NAICS code for this action is 238220, Plumbing, Heating, and Air Conditioning Contractors (SBA Size Standard: $19.0m annual revenue). The Product Service Code is Z2DA, Repair or Alteration of Hospitals and Infirmaries. SET-ASIDE: The solicitation being issued will be 100% set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB). Only one award will be made to one offeror. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be made available on or around Monday, July 15, 2026. The solicitation and any amendments will be posted on this website, www.sam.gov, Contract Opportunities. The solicitation will include instructions to offerors and evaluation criteria which will be used to evaluate offers and make any resulting award determination. This notice is for informational purposes only. The Government is not obligated to issue a solicitation as a result of this notice.
