Description
James A. Haley Veterans Hospital 13000 Bruce B Downs Blvd. Tampa, FL 33612 Procedure Chairs GENERAL: The James A. Haley Veterans Hospital (JAHVH), located at 13000 Bruce B. Downs Blvd, Tampa, FL 33612, requires procedure chairs designed for patient transport and the performance of medical procedures within the Gastroenterology and Bronchoscopy suites. These chairs will support clinical operations in the Digestive Disease and Pulmonary Sections of the Medicine and Specialty Care service lines. BACKGROUND: The James A. Haley Veterans Hospital (JAHVH) provides patient care for Veterans in the Gastroenterology and Bronchoscopy procedure suites, requiring safe and efficient transport between pre-operative, post-operative, and procedure rooms. Procedure chairs are essential for this process, as they allow for patient positioning adjustments necessary to perform a variety of medical procedures. Currently, the Gastroenterology and Bronchoscopy sections rely on outdated and frequently malfunctioning procedure chairs, which compromise reliability and efficiency. Replacement of these obsolete chairs is critical to ensure continuity of care, patient safety, and operational effectiveness. PURPOSE: The Gastroenterology and Bronchoscopy procedure rooms at JAHVH perform a wide range of critical diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. These procedures require patient comfort and proper positioning to ensure safety, accuracy, and effectiveness of care for Veterans based on their clinical conditions. SCOPE: The vendor shall provide Champion T4 Procedure Chairs (Brand Name or Equal) that meet or exceed all physical, functional, and performance requirements specified in the salient characteristics section. These features are critical to meeting the technical requirements and ensuring the equipment fully supports the operational needs of the Government.
