Description
This is a "REQUEST FOR INFORMATION" only. This Sources Sought Notice is not a request for formal proposals or quotes. It is neither a solicitation announcement nor a request for proposals or quotes and does not obligate the Government to award a contract. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. Responses to this Sources Sought must be in writing. The purpose of this Sources Sought announcement is for market research to make appropriate acquisition decisions and to gain knowledge of potential qualified Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses, Veteran Owned Small Businesses, 8(a), HUBZone and other Small Businesses interested and capable of providing the services described below. Documentation on technical expertise must be presented in sufficient detail for the Government to determine that your company possesses the necessary functional area expertise and experience to compete for this acquisition. This Sources Sought is for the East Orange VA Medical Center located at 385 Tremont Avenue, East Orange, NJ 07018, who have a requirement for Operating Room (OR) ductwork cleaning and sanitizing services for one (1) base period, to be determined. A site visit may be included in the official solicitation. All parts, labor, fees, and materials shall be included in the purchase order to perform: Identify best methods for gaining access to ductwork. Install ICRA barriers and plastic sheeting to protect space. Clean, HEPA vacuum, and sanitize all ductwork. Clean, HEPA vacuum, and sanitize all grilles and registers. Provide status of issues in ductwork and provide before and after images of ductwork, grills, and/or registers. Remove ICRA barriers and plastic sheeting. Re-commission the system in preparation for system reactivation. All work shall be performed after-hours and/or weekends, coordinated closely with VA to avoid interruptions to a fully functional hospital environment. Vendor shall be certified by National Air Duct Cleaners Association (NADCA). Responses to this notice shall include the following: Company name, address, point of contact (phone and email), SAM UEI number Type of business (e.g. SDVOSB, VOSB, HubZone, 8(a), WOSB, Small Disadvantaged Business, or other Small Business) Brief capability statement addressing the Company s qualifications and ability to perform according to description above Subcontracting plans (note the limitations on contracting at 50% for services, FAR 52.219-4, Limitations on Subcontracting, and/or VAAR 852.219-75/852.219-76) Contractor shall be registered in SAM.gov. The NAICS Code is 561790 with a Small Business size standard of $9 million. SDVOSB/VOSB vendors shall be registered in the SBA Database. Any offeror capable of providing this service shall notify the Contract Specialist no later than May 6th, 2026, 4:00 pm EST. All information is to be submitted via e-mail to: nathan.northrup@va.gov.
