Description

This Sources Sought Notice is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government at this time. This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine interest and capability of Other than Small Businesses and Small Businesses, including VetCert-certified Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB) or Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) prospective vendors relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 335210 and its small business size standard of 1,500 employees. The Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital, Hines, Illinois, has the requirement for a brand name or equal commercial floor equipment for facility cleaning operations. The Government is requesting that Other Than Small Businesses and Small Businesses, including VetCert-certified VOSB or SDVOSB sources respond if it can meet the description and Salient Characteristics below on a brand name or equal basis: CLIN Item Description Qty Unit 0001 Clarke CFP Pro 20HD or Equal Brand Name or Equal Commercial Floor Machine/Polisher meeting salient characteristics 20 EA 0002 Clarke 18-Gallon Shovelnose Wet/Dry Vacuum or Equal Brand Name or Equal Commercial Wet/Dry Vacuum meeting salient characteristics 20 EA Salient Characteristics Commercial Floor Machine / Polisher (Comparable to CFP PRO 20HD) Must have a 20-inch cleaning/polishing path suitable for commercial floor care. Must have a heavy duty induction motor capable of continuous commercial use. Must have at least a 1 1.5 HP motor rating or an equivalent performance motor. Must have a durable, all metal or reinforced chassis designed for long service life. Must have dual capacitor design or equivalent high torque start capability. Must have a safety rated on/off switch positioned for operator convenience. Must have an adjustable, ergonomic handle to accommodate different operator heights. Must have a pad driver or brush holder system compatible with standard floor pads/brushes. Must have large rear transport wheels for easy maneuverability. Must have UL/ETL or equivalent commercial electrical safety certification. Wet/Dry Commercial Vacuum (Comparable to 18 Gallon Shovelnose Wet/Dry Vacuum) Must have at least an 18 gallon tank capacity suitable for extended wet/dry cleaning tasks. Must have a corrosion resistant tank made of polyethylene or equivalent durable material. Must have a powerful commercial grade motor designed for both wet and dry pickup. Must have a built in drain port or dump system for easy emptying of collected liquids. Must have a wide, low profile front nozzle ( shovelnose or equivalent) for efficient floor pickup. Must have a secure filtration system (e.g., foam, cartridge, or cloth filter) suitable for wet and dry operation. Must have heavy duty casters/wheels for smooth movement on varied surfaces. Must have a long power cord ( 25 35 ft) or equivalent reach for commercial areas. Must have included accessories such as hoses, wands, or floor tools. Must have UL/ETL or equivalent certification for commercial wet/dry vacuum use. Interested Other Than Small Businesses and Small Businesses including VetCert-certified VOSBs and SDVOSBs are required to submit an e-mail delineating: Qualifications, capabilities, and experience for providing this product; Business size/Socioeconomic status; Manufacture location; If the product is on the Federal Supply Schedule or the Open Market; and Memo or correspondence which authorizes distributor to distribute the manufacturer s products (if applicable). This is not a Request for Proposal or an announcement of a solicitation and no solicitation currently exists. Your responses will be used solely for market research purposes of the Government. The Government will not pay for any materials provided in response to this notice and submissions will not be returned to the sender. VOSBs and SDVOSBs must be registered and verified in VetCert for set-aside consideration. Responses are to be submitted by e-mail to Patrick Trzeciak at patrick.trzeciak@va.gov. The information requested must be received no later than 3:00 p.m. CDT on 4/13/2026.
