Advanced Notice Request from the Market Research for Power Generation with Microgrid at Joint Base-MDL, New Jersey Announcement No. W912DS26BA032 Please post the Advanced Notice for the Market Research for Power Generation with Microgrid at Joint Base-MDL, New Jersey The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York District intends to issue a solicitation package seeking to award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract for the construction of a project at Joint Base-MDL, New Jersey. The project magnitude is between $5- $15 million. This will be a full-and-open solicitation. Summary of Work: The intent of this project is to construct a new 400 KW photovoltaic array (PV) in conjunction with a battery energy storage system (BESS) at 1.5 MW, microgrid controller, two 500kW natural gas generators. The necessary electrical support infrastructure will be installed to connect the PV array and BESS to the EVCF and building 678 through the existing building transformer. This will provide redundancy in the electrical distribution system and the black start ability to switch between grid power, on base resilient power, and generators at the critical facilities. These will all be interconnected and controlled by a microgrid control system constructed by this project. The project also will include fire suppression system, all utilities, communications, site improvements, and associated support facilities. The facility will be compatible with applicable Department of Defense, Air Force, and base design standards. The contract duration will be 730 calendar days. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is for general construction; 236220 for Commercial & Institutional Facilities.
