NAICS Code: 423450 � Medical, Dental, and Hospital Equipment and Supplies Merchant Wholesalers PSC: 6515 � Medical and Surgical Instruments, Equipment, and Supplies Place of Performance: National Institutes of Health Clinical Center Bethesda, MD 20892 POTS: 26-005179 Description This notice is issued for informational purposes only and does not constitute a request for quotations. A solicitation will not be issued, and quotations will not be requested. The National Institutes of Health (NIH), Clinical Center, Office of Purchasing and Contracts, on behalf of the Department of Transfusion Medicine (DTM), intends to award a sole source firm-fixed-price purchase order to Dove Medical Supply LLC, located at 8164 Mabe Marshall Rd, Summerfield, NC 27358. The requirement is for the procurement of three (3) Genesis Tube Sealers, Catalog Number GENE-428-SE640, used in the manufacture of blood and blood products supporting patient care operations within the Clinical Center. Dove Medical Supply LLC is an approved vendor for Genesis equipment. These instruments are currently in use within the laboratory environment and have been determined to be safe and effective for manufacturing blood products for Clinical Center patients. The Government is unaware of any other source capable of providing the required equipment. This notice is not a request for competitive quotations. However, all responsible sources that believe they are capable of satisfying the Government�s requirement may submit a capability statement for consideration via email. Authority This acquisition is being conducted in accordance with: FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) � Soliciting from a Single Source Under this authority, the Contracting Officer may solicit from a single source when it is determined that only one source is reasonably available to meet the Government�s requirements. Acquisitions conducted under FAR Part 13 � Simplified Acquisition Procedures are exempt from the competition requirements of FAR Part 6. The Government will evaluate capability statements received in response to this notice. The determination not to compete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government.
