Description
The United States Embassy in Honduras hereby issues this Request for Information (RFI) seeking qualified Architect/Engineer (A/E) firms to provide professional services for the preparation of a comprehensive Feasibility Study related to the design and construction of a dedicated underground medium-voltage (MV) power feeder serving the U.S. Embassy New Embassy Compound (NEC). The selected firm(s) shall provide all labor, materials, expertise, and services necessary to evaluate power supply alternatives in coordination with the Empresa Nacional de Energa Elctrica (ENEE), Honduras national electric utility. The Feasibility Study shall assess the technical, regulatory, operational, and logistical viability of the proposed underground feeder system; evaluate ENEEs institutional capacity to support the installation, operation, and maintenance of underground MV electrical infrastructure; identify and assess qualified local partners and contractors capable of performing the required civil works; and analyze potential overhead feeder alternatives, including associated advantages, limitations, costs, and risks. All responsible and qualified sources are invited to submit information for consideration. Based on the responses received, the U.S. Government may elect to award either a single contract encompassing all required services or multiple contracts for separate portions of the work to the most qualified firms.
