Description
This Solicitation Notice is being issued by the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) - Chicago District to inform interested vendors of the district?s intent to issue a solicitation for Salamonie Lake?s Control Tower Windows and Doors Replacement.****PROJECT INFORMATION: Under the requirement, USACE requires the following construction services at the Lake Salamonie?s Control Tower: removal and replacement of five (5) exterior windows and one (1) set of two (2) exterior entry doors. For the windows, the work includes measuring openings, removing existing windows and framing, applying concrete sealer, installing new double-hung windows with specific performance and material requirements (including synthetic jambs and stainless-steel fasteners), and flashing to prevent water intrusion. The door replacement entails similar steps ? measuring, removal, concrete repair and sealing, and installation of paired steel security doors with new locking mechanisms and adherence to forced-entry resistance standards (UFC 4-026-01). All work must comply with the latest USACE Safety Manual (EM 385-1-1) and requires COR approval for certain aspects like color and workmanship.****CONTRACTING OFFICE: USACE Chicago District, 231 South LaSalle Street, Suite 1500, Chicago IL 60604****ACQUISITION INFORMATION: Competition for this acquisition is planned to be a small business set-aside. The North American Industry System Classification Code is 238350, with a small business size standard in dollars of $19.0 Million. The magnitude of cost for construction is estimated between $100,000 and $250,000. The solicitation package is planned for award in September Fiscal Year 2025.Under this notice, the United States Army Corps of Engineers - Chicago District is issuing a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for window and door replacement.****GOVERNMENT REQUIREMENTS:In this acquisition The Government is seeking vendors interested in window and door replacement.In order to submit a quote, your firm must register with sam.gov, as a pre-requirement to do business with the federal government and prior to registering with the DoD Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE)system. Your firm must register with PIEE in order to access the solicitation and must submit quote responses in PIEE. Use the PIEE System Registration link:- https://piee.eb.mil, and follow the instructions on their website. Contact the PIEE helpdesk if you have any issues.****The only authorized transmission method for quote responses to this request for quote is electronically via PIEE online submission. NO OTHER TRANSMISSION METHODS (EMAIL, FACSIMILE, REGULAR MAIL, HAND CARRIED, ETC.) WILL BE ACCEPTED.
