Description
SOLE SOURCE SPECIAL NOTICE Notice of Intent (NOI) to Sole Source Brand Name Description: This is a Special Notice prepared in accordance with FAR 5.2. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center (MEDVAMC), Network Contracting Office (NCO) 16, intends to issue and award a Firm Fixed Price, Sole Source, Single Award contract to NeuraSignal, Inc., 1109 Westwood Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90024, for the purchase, installation, and training of the NeuraSignal NG2 Intelligent Ultrasound Robotic Transcranial Doppler (raTCD) System (Brand Name). Based on market research and review of clinical/technical requirements, NeuraSignal is the only known responsible source capable of providing a fully automated robotic TCD platform with the required capabilities (robotic vessel search, autonomous reacquisition after patient movement, prolonged hands free bilateral monitoring, MES detection, waveform trending, VA IT compliant local storage integration, and compatible robotic headset hardware). These requirements are defined in the draft PWS. This acquisition is conducted under the authority of FAR 6.302 1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.
