US Mission Fiji Local Guard Services Solicitation: 19AQMM26R0113 Questions Due: 23 June 2026 by 11:59 PM EST Proposals Due: 27 July 2026 by 11:59 PM EST The DOS, Bureau of Diplomatic Security (DS) plays an essential role in ensuring that foreign policy objectivesare accomplished in a safe and secure environment. DS accomplishes this by making the protection of people, information, and property its top priority. DS develops and implements effective security programs tosafeguard DOSpersonnel as they implement foreign policyand promote U.S. interests around theworld. The protection of life is the most crit-ical element of the DS mission and is an ab-solute requirement for the globalconduct offoreign affairs. DS Special Agents that are assigned to U.S.diplomatic missions overseas serve as the Regional SecurityOfficers (RSO). The RSO provides the first line of defense for DOSpersonnel, their families, U.S. diplomat-icmissions, and national security information. The RSO develops and implement theprograms that shield U.S.missions and resi-dences from physical and technical attack.The RSO receives valuable assistance in thiseffortfrom other DS personnel, Marine Security Guards (MSG), local investigators,security engineering officers,and host government officials. The RSO serves as theprimary liaison with foreign police and se-curity servicesoverseas in an effort to obtain support for U.S. law enforcement initiatives and investigations. The RSO also serves to monitor the performance of thelocal guard services as the ContractingOfficer�s Representative(COR).
