Description
This notice is for Solicitation Number 36C24226B0028, Project Number 528A7-23-103 Replace SCI Steam Coils at the Syracuse VA Medical Center, 800 Irving Avenue, Syracuse, NY 13210. This shall be a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside. As a result, all SDVOSB's may submit a bid, which will be considered by the agency. This project is classified under NAICS Code 238210 and has a size standard of $19 Million. The Magnitude of Construction for this project is between $1,000,000.00 and $2,000,000.00. Scope of Work: The scope of work shall generally consist of, but not limited to the following: The contractor will furnish all materials, equipment, supervision, and personnel necessary to accomplish the job to replace the SCI steam coils. The project is primarily a mechanical project and some electrical work to replace the existing steam pre-heat coils in seven air handling units located on the 5th floor mechanical room. The work consists of demolishing the existing steam coils, and selective steam and condensate piping. A new water/glycol loop with two pumps and a plate and frame heat exchanger will be constructed to serve new water coils in the air handling units. An additional distribution pump on the boiler hot water system will be added alongside the existing pumps located on the 10th floor. All three new pumps will be connected to new power feeds and variable frequency drives. Three existing electrical panelboards will be replaced to support the new equipment. The owner will self-perform the HVAC Controls electrical work and programming, except as otherwise stated on the drawings. Work shall conform to the drawings and specifications. Project Completion: 270 Calendar Days from Notice to Proceed (NTP). All other details and information shall be contained in the solicitation which shall be posted on www.sam.gov. The solicitation will be released on or about January 2, 2026. The response submittal address, date and time will be included in the solicitation. This project requires bonding and all responses/submissions to the solicitation to be posted later shall be emailed. No hand-carried bids will be accepted. All prospective bidders must be currently registered in www.sam.gov , www.dnb.com (Duns and Bradstreet )and be registered and verified as a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) in https://search.certifications.sba.gov/ at the time of offer submission and before award of this procurement.
