Description
The U.S. Geological Survey, Maryland-Delaware-Washington, D.C. Water Science Center requires procedures to properly abandon a monitoring well due to the dry dumping of an unknown quantity of bentonite that has bridged at a casing reduction transition. The following scope of work includes procedures outlined by the Maryland Department of the Environment, Water and Science Administration and with agreement by the Talbot County Health Department, Office of Environmental Health through direct communications. The work is described in Attachment 1 Performance-based Work Statement along with photos of the site. Attachment 3 provides site location. The firm, fixed-price contract is for a 30-day period plus time for special approvals and reporting. Quotes shall provide pricing, and technical capabilities perform the work. The basis of award is lowest-price technically acceptable. Quote submissions are due on or before 8/06/2026. The anticipated award date is 8/19/2026. The acquisition is a small business set-aside. The NAICS is 237110. Vendors must be registered at https://www.sam.gov/ to be awarded the contract. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the government.
