Description
The US Department of Transportation (DOT) intends to award a Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP), Total Small Business Set-Aside, Architect & Engineer (A&E) Contract to provide Atrium Mezzanine Design Services resulting in the delivery of two (2) concept designs and one (1) final design for the construction of an atrium mezzanine office space in the atrium area of the Department of Public Works (DPW) Building, US Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA), Kings Point, New York. The pertinent Product Service Code (PSC) and North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code are: PSC: C219 Architect and Engineering - Other NAICS: 541330 Engineering Services The Offeror shall have a strong understanding, background, and experience in the incorporation of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) considerations and calculations in the architectural design process. All responsible and qualified sources may submit a Quotation (Quote) which will be considered by the US DOT. Offerors must demonstrate that they are qualified to provide A&E services. Pursuant to FAR 36.202-3 (d), contracts for architect-engineer services will only be awarded to firms permitted by law to practice the professions of architecture or engineering. Section L includes but is not limited to critical instructions regarding a planned Site Visit on 10 February 2026, the Question and Answer process, and preparation and submission of the Offeror Quote. Failure to follow Section L instructions to prepare and submit the Quote may result in the Quote being removed from consideration for selection for award.
