This project proposes full replacement and upgrade to HVAC systems to restore safe, functional and compliant building operations. During recent wildfire events airborne ash and fine particulate matter infiltrated multiple buildings and mechanical systems. Ash accumulation has been documented within ductwork and air handling components The USDA Forest Service requires construction and mechanical services to replace and upgrade heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems at multiple facilities within the Smokey Bear Ranger District, Lincoln National Forest, Ruidoso NM. The requirement includes removal of existing systems, installation of new refrigerated HVAC systems, repair or replacement of associated ductwork, and upgrades to controls and distribution systems as necessary to support reliable year-round building operations.
