Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Geriatrics and Extended Care (GEC) Program Office has a requirement for conducting surveys at VA owned and operated Community Living Centers (CLCs) and Spinal Cord Injury/Disorders (SCI/D) Long Term Care Centers to be performed from an independent survey company/contractor. The contractor shall utilize Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) process for CLCs and SCI/D Long Term Care Centers by utilizing the applicable federal regulations of Title 42 Part 483 of the Code Federal Regulations, Requirements for States and Long Term Care Facilities from the Long-Term Care State Operations Manual (SOM) Appendix PP. The survey process shall be performed for each CLC, currently 134, and five SCI/D Long Term Care Centers according to the Performance Work Statement (PWS) and carried out via Task Order(s) (TO). The CMS survey process is specific to the CLC and SCI/D on site surveys are unannounced. Based on any potential national public health emergency, the survey process modality is determined for each CLC and SCI/D by the GEC Program Office and will either be: (1) onsite or (2) virtual. The period of performance for the resulting Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) Fixed Price (FP) Contract shall be a twelve (12) month base period and four (4) twelve (12) month option periods. This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract neither does it obligate the Government to pay for any quotes or proposal preparation costs. The Government is not obligated to issue a solicitation because of this notice. No other information is available until issuance of the solicitation.
