Description

Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility is partnering with Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) on the Electron Ion Collider (EIC) project and is seeking sources for fabrication of one (1) DC Power Magnet Supplies to be housed at Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL). Jefferson Lab (JLab) is a nuclear physics research facility operated by SURATech, LLC under contract to the U.S. Department of Energy. This notice and request for information seeks qualified sources for the fabrication of the DC Power Magnet described in the attached specification. TJNAF is issuing this RFI in order to gather budgetary numbers and anticipated lead times for planning and scheduling. It is anticipated that a package will be released as an official Request for Proposal (RFP) in calendar year 2026. It is intended that the RFP will be a Low Price/Technically Acceptable (LPTA) award selection.
