Description

The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Prison Camp (FPC) Yankton, located in Yankton, South Dakota, is issuing this combined synopsis/solicitation for Commercial Roofing Supplies to replace the roof of the Fargo Building. This solicitation is set aside exclusively for small businesses. Interested vendors are invited to submit quotes based on the specifications outlined in the request for quotation. Historic Preservation Requirements Prospective vendors are advised that the project site is located within the "Yankton College Historic District" and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. All materials must comply with the existing Programmatic Agreement between the BOP, the South Dakota State Historic Preservation Office, and the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation. Technical Specifications The Government requires engineered polymer shakes designed to replicate the aesthetic of hand-split shakes while providing enhanced durability and resistance to fire and impact. Dimensions: 9� Width x 22� Length; 5/8� thickness at the butt. Configuration: One-piece hip and ridge shakes optimized for pitches of 12:12 or less. Color/Finish: Aged Cedar aesthetic. Installation: Must be capable of being cut with a utility knife or circular saw and installed at a 9� or 10� exposure. Quantity: Sufficient material to cover approximately 6,600 square feet of hip and ridge roofing. Important Information Vendors are required to have registration in SAM.gov. The combined synopsis-solicitation is expected to be available on SAM.gov on 5/27/2026. All quotes must be submitted using the specified format provided and received by June 5th, no later than 11:30 Central Standard Time. Delivery and Award Information Deliveries will only be accepted after the effective date, as noted on the SF18 issued by the Contracting Officer. Deliveries shall be pre-arranged/scheduled with the receiving warehouse. Deliveries are to be made to: FPC Yankton 1016 Douglas Avenue Yankton, SD 57078 Proposal Submission Offers must be submitted electronically to Dominick Warmbein, Contract Specialist, at dwarmbein@bop.gov, on or before the due date specified in the solicitation (refer to page 1, Block 10). Submissions must include: Company Name, UEI number, and Point of Contact information. Documentation of ability to provide materials meeting the technical and historic preservation specs. Recommended NAICS code and confirmation of Small Business status under that code. Quotes will not be accepted via telephone or fax. All inquiries must be submitted via email in the specified format with a signature. ------------------------------------------- Attatchment added to include further information requested from potential vendors. In addition the solicitation will be extended by one day to 06/05/2026 11:30 Central Standard Time.
