Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 21, VA Northern California Health Care System, hereby provides notice of its intent to award a firm?fixed?price, sole-source purchase order to Veterans Healthcare Supply Solutions for the procurement of BD SiteRite� 9 Ultrasound Systems and associated vascular?access components. 1. Requirement Description VA Northern California Health Care System has a requirement for vascular?access ultrasound systems and accessories, specifically the BD SiteRite� 9 Ultrasound System, which is purpose?built to support PICC, CVC, and peripheral IV placement workflows. The system and accessories listed in the RFQ include: � SiteRite 9 Ultrasound System (MPN 9770800) � Linear Probe (9770803) � Cue Magnetizer (9770811) � Kickstand/Mounting Plate (9770806) � Sherlock 3CG+ Equivalent Tip Confirmation Sensor (9770358) � Medical Equipment Roll Stand (9770206/9770209) � Sony Medical Printer (UPX898MD) and Bracket (BAR000206) � Integrated accessories necessary for full vascular access workflow 2. Sole Source Justification The BD SiteRite� 9 is designated as Brand Name within the solicitation; the required system compatibility with BD technologies�specifically Sherlock 3CG+� Tip Confirmation System and Cue� Needle Tracking Technology�only the BD OEM equipment provides the necessary: � Real?time continuous needle visualization � ECG-guided catheter tip confirmation � Full workflow integration for vascular access � Compatibility with BD vascular?access components The Government has determined that only one source is reasonably available that can provide the required equipment as an integrated, OEM?validated system meeting all salient characteristics and VA requirements. This procurement will be executed under the authority of FAR 13.106?1(b)(1)(i), which permits soliciting from a single source when only one source is reasonably available. 3. NAICS / PSC Information � NAICS: 334510 � Electromedical and Electrotherapeutic Apparatus Manufacturing � Size Standard: 1,250 employees � PSC: 6515 � Medical and Surgical Instruments, Equipment, and Supplies 4. This Notice Is Not a Request for Quotes This notice is NOT a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation documents are available, and telephone inquiries will not be accepted. However, responsible sources that believe they can meet this requirement with fully compatible, OEM?validated equipment may submit a capability statement via email to: � Janetra.Johnson@va.gov � Edward.Hunter@va.gov Deadline for capability statements: Due date: March 25, 2026, 12:00 PM PDT. All submissions must include sufficient technical detail to demonstrate the vendor can meet all salient characteristics and fully integrate with BD vascular access technology listed above. 5.
