Description
This document serves as notification of an upcoming solicitation for a Plumbing Project # 549A-SL-506 Heat Exchanger Replacement. Contractor shall furnish all material and labor to replace heat exchangers at building numbers 1, 2, 24, and 29 for a total of 8 heat exchangers located at Sam Rayburn Memorial Veterans Center, 1201 E. Ninth Street, Bonham, Texas 75418. The Contractor shall provide labor, material, consumables, equipment and supervision for following scope of work disconnect existing steam supply, condensate, water in and out, controls, etc. from old units. Demo, remove and dispose of both existing Armstrong heaters. Provide required steam piping, valves and fittings to connect both new units to the existing piping/system. Provide required condensate, drain and relief valve piping, valves and fittings for proper installation. Run electrical to both new Steam Control Valves. The heat exchangers being replaced shall be replaced with the following brand and models: (2) Patterson-Kelley Model PK06D, (2) Patterson-Kelley Model PK08D, (2) Patterson-Kelley Model PK10D, and (2) Patterson-Kelley Model PK08D-H. Period of performance shall be 180 days after issuance of notice to proceed. A site visit is recommended to confirm all measurements and existing conditions. All work shall be performed in strict accordance with the terms, conditions, specifications, and drawings of the solicitation (when available) and all applicable local and VA building codes. This project will be procured as 100% set aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) used for this requirement is 238220, Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning with a standard size of $19M. The magnitude of this construction project is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. Contract awardee shall provide all supervision, labor, equipment, training, materials, supplies, and incidentals necessary to accomplish the work in accordance with the terms, conditions, specifications & drawings provided. The VA shall issue a RFP on or about February 09, 2026, via Contract Opportunities. A site visit will be scheduled prior to the closing of solicitation, the date, time, and location will be posted in the solicitation.
