Description

The United States Coast Guard intends to award a sole source contract to TechOp Solutions International, Inc. for privacy and FOIA support services. The anticipated period of performance for this contract is three (3) months. This requirement is being solicited under FAR 12.202/6.103-1. The rationale for this sole source acquisition is that the existing contract for the same services is in the process of being re-competed, but a new contract wont be awarded by the end of the period of performance, which will result in a gap in services. The subject three-month contract is intended to bridge this gap. As the incumbent contractor, TechOp Solutions, is the only source with the ability to maintain the level of services required without a transition period until the competed contract is awarded. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability by responding to this requirement within 2 days of publication of this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance with Part 12. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation.
