Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Caribbean Healthcare System, Network Contracting Office 8 intends to negotiate a sole-source contract under the authority of FAR part 13.106-1(b). The associated NAICS code for this service is 811210 with a size standard of $34.0M and PSC Code J059. The identified vendor is the OEM Milestone Medical Technologies, Inc. The Contractor Milestone Medical Technologies, Inc. shall provide maintenance services of the UltraSafe Formalin Dispensing System located in the Veterans Affairs Caribbean Healthcare System (VACHS). A service contract for a base one-year period with four one-year option periods is anticipated and shall be awarded. The equipment is specialized, and improper maintenance or calibration could cause misdiagnosis or harm to patients. Moreover, Milestone Medical Technologies, Inc. (OEM), owns the right to replacement/upgrades licenses, qualified personnel, access to manufacturing maintenance publications, and proprietary diagnostic software that is not available to 3rd party vendors. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. It is not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation package is available. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Responses must be received no later than 10:00 am EST on 12-22-2025.
