Description
Boise VA Medical Center 500 West Fort Street, Boise, ID 83702 Procurement Number: 36C26026R0026 This is a pre-solicitation notice synopsizing an upcoming competitive solicitation satisfying the requirements of FAR 5.201 and FAR 5.203. An invitation for Request for Proposals (RFP) is anticipated to be posted no later than October 31, 2025. The VA Medical Center located in Boise, ID, has a requirement for a Firmed Fixed Price construction project to replace the fan coil units and fin tube radiators throughout buildings 23 and 45 at BVAMC. Heat exchangers, pumps, and valves will be installed to create a closed heating loop in the buildings. The raw geothermal water that currently runs throughout the buildings will be used to heat the closed heating loop which will reduce the wear that occurs in the piping and equipment by the raw geothermal water. New piping will be installed where needed. Old piping removed. All necessary connections, valves, structure modifications, and accessories shall be included. The system shall be fully monitored and controlled by the existing station DDC system. The construction and installation shall provide a fully functioning system for the BVAMC. The Contractor shall be responsible for all testing and laboratory services in connection with this project as stated in the contract drawings and specifications. Testing and laboratory services include but are not limited to HVAC test and balance. The Contractor shall provide both paper and electronic copies of all test reports to the COR in a timely manner. The magnitude of this construction project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The NAICS code for this procurement is 238220 and the size standard is $19 million. The solicitation is being issued in the best value continuum described in FAR Part 15.101. A bid bond is required, and the bid guarantee amount shall be at least 20 percent of the bid price but shall not exceed $3 million. This project is 100% set-aside for Small Businesses.
