Description
The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC/PZIBA), on behalf of the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT/CE), intends to award a sole-source, firm-fixed-price contract to Integrated Procurement Technologies, 1025 S Brown School Road, Vandalia, OH 45377, for the procurement of a High Temperature Black Body for Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. The requirement is for a High Temperature Black Body system for the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT). The system must meet the mandatory technical requirement of a 3,000C maximum operating temperature. This performance capability is essential for AFIT's graduate-level research in optical engineering. The Government's market research, confirmed by a Sources Sought notice, indicates that only products manufactured by Integrated Procurement Technologies (IPT) can meet this essential need. In accordance with FAR 5.207(c)(15), the justification for the lack of competition is that only one responsible source, Integrated Procurement Technologies (IPT), is capable of satisfying the agency's minimum requirement for equipment to meet a 3,000C temperature range as specified in the Statement of Work. Therefore, this acquisition is being conducted under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. All responses, questions, and capability statements shall be submitted via email to the following points of contact no later than February 20, 2026, at 11:00 AM Eastern Time. Contract Specialist: Brian Algeo, brian.algeo.1@us.af.mil Contracting Officer: Candice Snow, candice.snow@us.af.mil All correspondence sent via email must contain the subject line: FA8601-26-Q-0007, High Temperature Black Body. Be advised that emails without this exact subject line or with prohibited attachments (.zip, .exe) may be blocked by network filters. Acceptable attachment formats are .PDF, .doc, and .xls. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals or quotes. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
