Description

The VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System is searching for vendors who have the capability to provide, twelve (12) NuTrace R+ Scanners at the VA North Las Vegas Medical Center in North Las Vegas, NV. Please also provide availability of any equivalent scanners and their place of manufacture that may meet the salient characteristics below. The vendor shall be responsible for all labor, travel expenses, shipping and handling, and parts needed to perform this request. The result of this market research may contribute to determining the method of procurement. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 339113 Surgical Appliance and Supplies Manufacturing. Salient Characteristics for NuTrace R+ Scanner: USB connected 2D data matrix scannable reader that can read marks as small as 500 �M. Visual LED lights up with a confirmed scan as well as an audible beep for acknowledgement Able to read GS1, 2D laser etches on both flat and concave surfaces Able to read off different finishes: polished, flat, matte, rough, bright and reflective Is approved software on TRM Can read 2D marks within 0.001 seconds Body surface of scanner can be wiped down with disinfectant wipe/spray without deteriorating material Compatible with Sterile Processing Services electronic tracking system Censitrac. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME. This request for capability information does not constitute a request for quotes; submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary; the Government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred. In your response, please provide the following information: Company name, Address, Point of Contact (POC) name, email address, and phone number Indicate whether your business is large or small. If small, please designate type of small business and any Small Business Administration certifications. Indicate if your firm is a certified Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) or Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB). Include the Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) number of your firm. Link to the respondent�s General Services Administration (GSA) schedule, or attached file of same, if applicable. Capabilities Statement of any equal products that can be offered. Place of manufacturing Authorized Distributorship letter issued from the manufacturer Citation of any current or past customers (i.e., within the past two (2) years) to include contract number, point of contact telephone number, or e-mail address for Nutrace Scanner or equal scanner. All interested responsible sources shall submit their response to this office by 2:30 p.m. PDT on Thursday, May 07, 2026. Please also provide the vendor�s Unique Entity Identifier (UEI). Responses shall be submitted via email to victoria.torres@va.gov. This Sources Sought Notice is issued for informational and planning purposes only to assess the availability of qualified vendors. It does not constitute a solicitation or a request for quote. Proprietary information submitted will be handled appropriately. The Government is conducting market research and may or may not issue a solicitation. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted.
