(Caterpillar), part number 369-1547, NSN 2815-01-595-5789, CAGE 11083. The item includes a reciprocating internal combustion diesel engine which provides the necessary power to produce motion for vehicle movement and a reuseable shipping and storage container to ensure the diesel engine�s environmental protection during shipping and storage. TDP#: No TDP FIRST ARTICLE TEST IS REQUIRED. WAIVER MAY BE AUTHORIZED; SEE WAIVER PROVISION IN SECTION L. A FIRST ARTICLE TEST REPORT IS REQUIRED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CLAUSE ENTITLED "FIRST ARTICLE APPROVAL-- CONTRACTOR TESTING", FAR 52.209-3. THE PRICE FOR FIRST ARTICLE TESTING TO BE INCLUDED IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT FOR CLIN 0001AA. Number of days the Government has to approve or disapprove the First Article Test Report: 30 days Estimated number of days for First Article Test completion: 90 days REVERSE AUCTION: The solicitation will contain the DLAD reverse auction provision, which allows for the use of a reverse auction as a pricing technique. After the solicitation closes, the contracting officer will determine if a reverse auction will be held. If a reverse auction is held, contractors must be registered in the reverse auction system to participate in the auction. Additionally, the contractor representative participating in the auction must have taken the on-line reverse auction training prior to the auction. Registration, on-line training, and other information regarding the reverse auction can be found at https://dla.procurexinc.com. Any questions related to the reverse auction system or process can be directed to the Contract Specialist.
