Description

The Government intends to award a sole source procurement under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12.203 to SimX Inc to provide SimX Virtual Reality Medical Simulation Software licenses with a package for 40 General Marketplace Cases, Educational Service and Integration Support, and hardware to support the education and training of medical professionals and hospital staff of the Dayton VA Medical Center (VAMC) in Dayton, OH. SimX Inc will provide this requirement for a base period with separate line items for four option periods. This contract action is for supplies for which the Government is soliciting only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). Accordingly, the Government will negotiate directly with SimX Inc. A determination not to compete this requirement is within the discretion of the Government. Interested sources may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government on future procurements. Response to this synopsis is not required. All inquiries and concerns must be sent to Contracting Officer/Contract Specialist Grover D. Easterling, Jr. via e-mail to grover.easterling@va.gov.
