Description

THIS SYNOPSIS IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY AND NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. Due to GAO protest, the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) Aircraft Division, Patuxent River intends to award a sole source bridge contract to Precise Systems, Inc. The period of performance is anticipated to be a one (1) month base period and two (2) 1-month options. This bridge contract will ensure the continuation of program management services to the H-60 Multi-Mission Helicopter Program Office, PMA-299 at Patuxent River, MD. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. � 3204(a)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, �Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.� Specifically, award to any other source would result in �unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agency�s requirements.� See 10 U.S.C. � 3204(b)(B)(ii); FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii)(B). While this notice of intent is for information purposes only, and not a request for competitive proposals, interested parties may identify their interest and technical capability, respond to this notice, and submit information. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed procurement based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will not be responsible for any costs of preparation of documentation or other correspondence in response to this announcement.
