Description
The Medical Readiness Contracting Office - West, Fort Sam Houston, intends to award a sole source contract for the procurement of Neurostar Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation Treatment Sessions to Neuronetics, Inc., 3222 Phoenixville Pike, Malvern, PA 19355 This proposed procurement is intended to be awarded under the authority of FAR 13.106- 1(b) (1) (i): Only one source reasonably available. Sole source determination is based on the fact that Neurostar Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation Treatment Sessions are proprietary to Neuronetics Inc. as only Neurostar chairs (currently in place at Eisenhower Army Medical Center) can be used with the proprietary treatment packs needed for the treatment sessions. Compatibility with the MTFs current equipment and cost to purchase new equipment will unnecessarily result in redundancy. The treatment packs are a non-drug non-invasive treatment that use magnetic pulses to stimulate areas of the brain that are underactive in depression. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 334510 Electro-medical and Electrotherapeutic and the size standard is 1,250. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes; however, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. Inquires will only be accepted via email to cathy.l.harris2.civ@health.mil The government will consider responses received by 1:00 p.m., CST, 11 Feb 2026. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed acquisition based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct competitive procurement in the future. No telephone requests will be honored.
