The Government will use responses to this notice in formulating its acquisition strategy. Overview of the Requirement: Intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP) are temporary mechanical counterpulsation devices used to manage life-threatening cardiac failures. By inflating in the aorta during diastole and deflating during systole, they decrease left ventricular afterload (reducing myocardial workload) and increase coronary and cerebral blood flow. These systems consist of a catheter, a pneumatic console, and monitoring tools. Two IABPs are needed at WBAMC. The response due date for this Sources Sought Notice is 08:00 AM MST, 20 April 2026. All questions and comments regarding this announcement shall be submitted via e-mail to the below POC(s).
