Description
This announcement constitutes a Source Sought Synopsis. This announcement seeks information from industry and will only be used for preliminary planning purposes. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR BIDS AND NO CONTRACT SHALL BE AWARDED FROM THIS SYNOPSIS. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. The Jacksonville District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is seeking interest from prospective offerors for a potential fiscal year (FY) 2026 award of the aforementioned project. The purpose of this sources sought is to gauge interest, capabilities, and qualifications of various members of the Dredging Community, to include Small Businesses, as the Government must ensure there is adequate competition amongst the potential pool of responsible contractors. The proposed project will be a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract. The Jacksonville District anticipates the issuance of a solicitation on or about 29 June 2026. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to said sources sought or any follow-up information requested.DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The Jacksonville District of the US Army Corps of Engineers is seeking interested offerors for a project work that consists of rehabilitation of the seaward 480 linear feet of the St. Lucie South Jetty including the jetty head (located at the St. Lucie Inlet in Martin County). Work includes demolition and disposal of an existing asphalt walkway, extensive rework of existing armor stone and core stone, excavation of unclassified material to place stone-filled a marine mattress foundation, placement of core stone, placement of 9 ? 15 ton armor stone, and backfill of excavated material. Additional work includes environmental species and water quality monitoring. Dredging a barge access channel to access the site is not allowed.Environmental Conditions: The St. Lucie South Jetty is located in a dynamic marine environment. The Contractor shall be responsible for obtaining information concerning the marine work environment including rain, fog, existing depths, shoaling, scouring, wind, wave, current, and tide conditions that could influence safety and construction operations prior to submitting a proposal or bid.Material needed to perform this work will have to be barged into the project site.The Target Price Range is between $25,000,000 - $50,000,000. The anticipated period of performance for this project: The Contractor shall begin performance within 60 calendar days and complete the contract within 730 calendar days after receiving notice to proceed. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 237990, Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction.
