Description

This is a Sources Sought Notice Only for the Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) a component of the Department of the Treasury that designs, engraves, and prints U.S. banknote currency and other U.S. security products. This IS NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, requests for bids or quotations, nor a promise to issue a solicitation in the future. The purpose of this Request for Information is to obtain knowledge and information for project planning purposes only. NAICS: 561612 Security Guards and Patrol Services (Guard Dog Services) Product Service Code: S206 � Security and Protection � Security Services This requirement is for personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, licenses, permits, materials, supervision, and other items and non-personal services necessary to perform/provide canine explosives detection services. The detection dogs are utilized to identify many objects and substances, including illegal drugs, firearms, explosives, accelerants, illicit currency, human remains, bodily disease, household pests, and agricultural products. In all these areas, dogs provided a level of efficient detection that human inspectors cannot duplicate. The Canine Explosives Detection Services shall provide canine detection/deterrent resources in support of security regulations and anti-terrorism measures currently in place for the protection of employees, contractors, visitors, information and properties at the Bureau of Engraving & Printing, Western Currency Facility located at 9000 Blue Mound Road Fort Worth, Texas.
