Description

Requirements: The Biacore T200 incorporates specialized microfluidics, optics, and proprietary software that require routine preventive maintenance and manufacturer-certified service to maintain performance within factory specifications. Accurate and reproducible data are dependent on the proper operation and calibration of these integrated components. Because the system utilizes proprietary hardware, replacement parts, diagnostic software, and manufacturer-specific service procedures, only the original manufacturer is authorized and qualified to perform comprehensive maintenance and repairs. Maintaining the instrument within manufacturer specifications is essential to ensure reliable operation, minimize downtime, preserve data quality, and support the laboratory's ongoing research activities. The data generated by this instrument contribute to NIH-supported studies and are used to support scientific publications and other research outcomes. 3.0 OBJECTIVE The objective of this requirement is to procure a comprehensive manufacturer service agreement for the Biacore T200 Surface Plasmon Resonance instrument to ensure continued operation within manufacturer specifications. The service agreement will provide preventive maintenance, repairs, replacement parts, technical support, and performance verification necessary to maintain reliable instrument performance, minimize downtime, and support uninterrupted research activities conducted by the Laboratory of Bioorganic Chemistry at the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases. 4.0 CONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS The contractor shall provide a comprehensive manufacturer service agreement for the Biacore T200 Surface Plasmon Resonance instrument. At a minimum, the service agreement shall include: All labor, travel, and replacement parts required to maintain the instrument in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications. Unlimited on-site corrective maintenance and repair service for equipment malfunctions during the period of performance. One scheduled preventive maintenance visit during the coverage period. A comprehensive system inspection, calibration, performance verification, and full system diagnostics using manufacturer-proprietary service software. Replacement of critical wear components identified during preventive maintenance to maintain optimal instrument performance and reliability. Service performed by manufacturer-trained and certified service engineers using genuine manufacturer replacement parts. Preventive maintenance scheduled in coordination with laboratory personnel to minimize disruption to ongoing research activities. Technical support and service response consistent with the manufacturer's standard service agreement. These services shall maintain the Biacore T200 in proper operating condition and within manufacturer performance specifications to ensure reliable, accurate, and reproducible research results. 5.1 TASK AREA 1 � Full Care Service Agreement The Contractor shall provide a twelve (12) month manufacturer Full Care service agreement for the Biacore T200 Surface Plasmon Resonance instrument. The service agreement shall include: All labor, travel, and replacement parts required to maintain the instrument in accordance with manufacturer specifications. Unlimited corrective maintenance service and repair visits during the period of performance. One scheduled preventive maintenance visit, including system diagnostics, calibration, performance verification, and replacement of critical wear components as required. Manufacturer-trained and certified service engineers. Use of genuine manufacturer replacement parts and proprietary diagnostic software. Remote and telephone technical support with an initial response within eight (8) business hours for emergency service requests. On-site response within three (3) business days for emergency repair requests. 5.2 TASK AREA 2 � On-Site Maintenance Services The Contractor shall perform preventive and corrective maintenance services at the following location: National Institutes of Health 9000 Rockville Pike Building 8, Room 421 Bethesda, MD 20892
