Description
Pre-solicitation Notice for Touchdown 08 Airfield Pavement Repair and Replacement Kingdom of Jordan W912ER26RA014. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), through its Southwestern Division, Middle East District (SWM), anticipates soliciting and awarding a contract to provide the necessary construction services as described below. The project site is located at an undisclosed location, East of Amman, Jordan. Product Service Code: Z2BD ? Repair or Alternation of Airport Runways and Taxiways. NAICS Code: 237310 ? Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction. This project is a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) Design-Bid-Build (DBB) contract awarded based on full and open competition using the best value trade off source selection procedures in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 15 - Contracting by Negotiation and FAR Part 36- Construction and Architect Engineer Contracts. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this notice, the forthcoming Solicitation or any future follow-up information requests. The Middle East District is evaluating the ability of businesses to perform a comprehensive pavement repair and replacement of concrete pavement at an undisclosed location in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. The main effort requires replacing 13,504 Square Meters (SM) of Portland Cement Concrete (PCC) pavement and 13,354 SM of asphalt with new, modified-heavy load concrete to extend the touchdown zone of Runway 08/26. This work, which must comply with International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) standards, includes replacing associated lighting and markings. A secondary part of the scope is design-after-award work for which the contractor will design and construct the foundational structure for the Aircraft Arresting System (AAS) Absorber Shelters. The Air Forces Central Command (AFCENT) personnel are responsible for the installation and maintenance of the AAS Absorber Shelters and ancillary equipment. The selected firm must have the capability to perform Civil Works, specifically earthwork, runway construction or repair in the Kingdom of Jordan. This project will comply with applicable DoD, Air Force, and base design standards. Project technical specifications, drawings, etc. will be posted as attachments to the solicitation. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a timely and complete proposal in response to the forthcoming solicitation, which will be considered by the agency. Magnitude of Construction: The total contract dollar value for the base and options will be estimated between $5 million and $10 million.Performance Period: The anticipated period of performance is 540 calendar days after issuance of the notice to proceed.Attachments: This notice does not include any attachments.
