NextGen Submarine Rescue System (SRS) Industry Day Announcement Host: U.S. Department of the Navy (USN) | DRPM I&I | Undersea Special Mission Systems Program Office (PMS390) The Navy is advancing its submarine rescue capabilities and is seeking industry input to replace the current system. This unclassified Industry Day facilitates discussion on innovative ideas, technical offerings, challenges, and emerging technologies as PMS390 conducts market research for the next-generation submarine rescue system. ? Event Overview & Logistics Parameter Details Date & Time: September 2, 2026 at 09:00 AM EDT (Follow-on meetings scheduled through September 3, 2026, if needed) Location: 1100 New Jersey Ave SE, Washington, DC 20003 Classification: Unclassified Format: In-Person Only (No virtual attendance option available) Foreign Nationals: Eligible to attend (Requires completed Foreign Visitor Request (FVR) form attached to the original notice) Capacity Limit: Maximum of three (3) representatives per company/organization Security/Check-in: Valid government-issued photo ID required. No audio/visual recording devices permitted. ?? Technical Objectives & System Characteristics PMS390 seeks innovative solutions to replace the current submarine rescue capability within five (5) years of a design development contract award. Key Capabilities Required: Materiel Solution: Multiple, commercially classified, small, and highly transportable rescue vehicles. Decompression Capabilities: Built directly into the design of the rescue vehicles, alongside executing Disabled Submarine (DISSUB) survivor rescues. Performance Goals: High operational availability, rapid transportability, highly sustainable configuration, fast "time to first rescue," and reduced overall life-cycle Program costs. Certification: Final solution must be commercially certified by an International Association of Classification Societies (IACS) member. Flexibility: PMS390 is open to all contracting, ownership, operation, maintenance, and supportability strategies. Industry Day Agenda (September 2, 2026) Duration Session Type Description 60 Minutes Navy Program Overview Presentation of current requirements, general system expectations, the materiel solution framework, and the path forward. 30 Minutes Open Q&A Forum Moderated session for open-floor questions from attendees. 30 Minutes (Each) One-on-One Meetings Private sessions for registered and approved companies to discuss proprietary capabilities and solutions. ??
