Description

The Defense Health Agency Contracting Activity (DHACA) on behalf of the Sterile Processing Department (SPD) at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC) in Bethesda, MD, intends to award a firm fixed price contract on a sole source basis to Inova Health Care Services, 8095 Innovation Park Dr, Fairfax, Virginia 22031-4868. The anticipated award will be made under the statutory authority permitting Other than Full and Open Competition, Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 6.302-1 (a)(2), only one responsible source. The award is essential to supplement sterile processing services and ensure continuity of surgical and clinical operations at WRNMMC following catastrophic damage to the in-house SPD. The primary North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 622110 - General Medical And Surgical Hospitals. THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT, NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS. No solicitation is available. Interested parties may identify their interest and submit a capabilities statement demonstrating their ability to meet this requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested parties may express their interest and provide a capabilities statement N.L.T. Friday, 6 February 2026 at 4:00 PM EST, to Oneil Sharpe, oneil.g.sharpe.civ@health.mil.
