Description
This synopsis notice is being posted to satisfy the requirements of DFARS PGA 206.302-1. The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Program Office, PMA-201, Patuxent River, Maryland, intends to enter into sole source negotiations and subsequently award a Cost Plus Fixed Fee Task Order off of a Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA ) to Lockheed Martin Corporation, Missiles and Fire Control (LMMFC), Archbald Pennsylvania. This order is for program management as well as test and engineering support to improve the BDU-59C/B by continuing the development and testing of a twin lug carriage. Contract Award is anticipated for Q2 of 2026. This synopsis is published for informational purposes only. (THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS). This requirement will be procured in accordance with FAR 6.302?1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Lockheed Martin is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the LGTR and as such is the only company that has the requisite knowledge, production tooling, facilities and technical data necessary to meet this requirement. IMPORTANT ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR INTERESTED PARTIES: This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, responsible, interested parties may identify their interest and capability by responding to this notice. The Government will consider all information received prior to the closing date of this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. There are no commitments by the Government to issue any solicitations, make an award or awards, or to be responsible for any monies expended by any interested parties before award of a contract for the efforts mentioned above. Information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit for or award a contract. No telephone responses will be accepted.
