Description

You are invited to review and comment on the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Glenn Research Center (GRC) Fission Surface Power (FSP) System Draft Announcement for Partnership Proposals (AFPP). The primary objectives of this AFPP are to make power available on the lunar surface and to energize the space industrial base to support a future lunar economy through the deployment of a FSP system on the lunar surface. Please see the attached Draft Announcement for Partnership Proposal (AFPP), and supporting attachments/documentation, for Announcement No. 80GRC025FSPS, Fission Surface Power (FSP) System. 9/16/25: - Industry Day presentation posted. - Industry Day Q&A posted. - Government Resource POC List Access Instructions posted. Due to technical issuses with the Sam.gov Industry Day posting, NASA is unable to post the Industry Day presentation and Q&A in that location. 9/26/25: - FSP System Draft AFPP Q&A posted. 11/19/25: Based on the amount of feedback shared to date, NASA intends to post a second Draft AFPP on SAM.gov for industry review on 12/5/25 with questions and comments due on 12/12/25. A final AFPP release date is anticipated in early 2026. Continue to monitor SAM.gov and www.nasa.gov/glenn/fsps for additional updates. Please note that industry will still be provided 60 days for proposal submittal following release of the Final AFPP.
