What usually goes wrong

  • Wrong commodity or NIGP selections mean agencies never invite you to bid.
  • Registering on a catalog or ordering site is not the same as the bidder list.
  • Active SAM.gov registration does not put you on a state vendor list (and the reverse is also true).
  • State agency RFPs usually are not on SAM.gov. Federal place-of-performance notices are a different search.

Connecticut portal FAQ

Does this page list open Connecticut state RFPs?

No. This page links to official Connecticut procurement portals such as CTsource Bid Board and summarizes registration. GovGazette does not yet index full state agency bid firehoses. Open federal notices with place of performance in Connecticut are on the federal Connecticut hub.

Do I need SAM.gov and Connecticut vendor registration?

Often yes if you pursue both federal and Connecticut state work. SAM covers federal eligibility and UEI. Connecticut portals cover state agency bid lists and e-procurement. Completing one does not finish the other.

Are state registration fees paid to GovGazette?

No. Any registration fee is paid to the state (or its designated portal operator). Verify current amounts on the official site. Paid private expediters are optional and separate.

Will GovGazette register me on the state portal?

Not from this form. You can register interest if we launch assisted multi-portal help later. Until then, use the official portal links and free APEX counseling when you need hands-on help.

Where do I get free help with registration paperwork?

APEX Accelerators (formerly PTACs) provide free or low-cost counseling. Find a local office at https://www.apexaccelerators.us/. They will not bid for you, but they unstick SAM and state portal paperwork.

What commodity codes does Connecticut use?

May use NIGP, UNSPSC, NAICS, or portal-specific categories. Follow the official form.

Interested in registration help?

We are measuring demand for assisted vendor registration (state portals and SAM). This is not a service yet. No document upload. No one will register for you today.
