Dual track: federal SAM + Georgia

Primes on federal work need an active SAM.gov registration and UEI.Georgia state agency work uses the portals below. Finish both if you pursue both markets.

Checklist

  1. Create a supplier account through official Georgia DOAS / procurement systems.
  2. Complete the vendor profile and commodity codes.
  3. Monitor the Georgia Procurement Registry for matching solicitations.

Often NIGP commodity codes (copyrighted system used by many states; use the official portal pick-lists).

Free or low-cost counseling is available through APEX Accelerators (formerly PTACs). Find your local office at apexaccelerators.us. They will not bid for you, but they unstick paperwork.

What usually goes wrong

  • Wrong commodity or NIGP selections mean agencies never invite you to bid.
  • Registering on a catalog or ordering site is not the same as the bidder list.
  • Active SAM.gov registration does not put you on a state vendor list (and the reverse is also true).
  • State agency RFPs usually are not on SAM.gov. Federal place-of-performance notices are a different search.

Georgia registration FAQ

How do I register as a vendor in Georgia?

Georgia state procurement uses the Georgia Procurement Registry and related DOAS systems. Register through official Georgia state sites before bidding. Follow the checklist on this page, then complete every field only on the official portal.

Is Georgia vendor registration free?

Many state portals charge nothing or only a small state fee. Confirm any fee on the official site. Never pay a third party who claims they can replace free official forms without explaining what you are buying.

Do I still need SAM.gov?

Yes for most federal prime work. Georgia registration does not create a SAM Unique Entity ID. Start with the SAM.gov registration walkthrough if you need both tracks.

Should I pay an expediter?

Only if you understand the fee and still want hand-holding after free APEX counseling. Official registration is on government portals. Expediters do not make you more competitive on price or past performance.

What is the interest form on this page?

It measures whether businesses want assisted multi-portal registration later. Submitting interest is not registration and is not a commitment to pay.

Where is free counseling?

Use APEX Accelerators at https://www.apexaccelerators.us/. Free or low-cost counseling is available through APEX Accelerators (formerly PTACs). Find your local office at apexaccelerators.us. They will not bid for you, but they unstick paperwork.

Interested in registration help?

We are measuring demand for assisted vendor registration (state portals and SAM). This is not a service yet. No document upload. No one will register for you today.
